This book was an interesting twist on the tales that we have
heard so many times without realising that we're hearing them over and over
again. I quickly became emotionally invested in the characters and their lives,
wanting them to be okay and able to find happiness wherever they could. However,
at some points it felt like the story of the main characters wasn't going
anywhere, a slow point that I'm not used to finding in Ness' work. Still, I
think this is an important tale for people to read so that they can be reminded
of reality for a while.
